About SocialBlossom
A speech-language pathologist and an engineer.
Married. Building social-emotional learning tools every family can afford.
Why this exists
Children who need social stories the most — autistic kids, kids with ADHD, kids navigating big feelings — often live in families who can't afford one-on-one therapy at $80 a session. The resources that exist tend to be either generic worksheets, or one-off PDFs created by a single therapist for a single child.
We started SocialBlossom because the gap between “great clinical knowledge” and “something a tired parent can actually use on a Tuesday night” was wider than it should be. And in 2026, AI finally got good enough that we could close it — at a price every family can afford.
Meet the team

Rajini Darugupally
Co-Founder & Clinical Reviewer
M.Sc. Speech Language Pathology, AIISH · 11+ years clinical experience
Rajini is a practising speech-language pathologist. She trained at AIISH (All India Institute of Speech and Hearing), and has worked across paediatric speech and language, autism, ADHD, fluency disorders, cochlear-implant rehab, and adult aphasia. She practises at Wellness Hub in Hyderabad, where she has been since 2017.
Every story, illustration, and SEL game on this site is reviewed by Rajini against the criteria she uses with her own clients: age-appropriate language, strengths-based framing, and clear, repeatable patterns kids can actually hold onto.

Akash
Founder & Engineer
IIT Kanpur (Aerospace, 2013) · 10+ years as a full-stack engineer
Akash builds everything you see and don't see — the apps, the website, the AI pipelines that draft and illustrate each story for Rajini to review. He's been Co-Founder & CTO at Wellness Hub since 2018, where he built Tele-BASICS, a synchronised whiteboard used by online speech therapists.
The honest version: he likes building things that work, he wants this to be a real business, and he’s here because the kids his wife works with deserve better tools than the ones they have.
We met at Wellness Hub. We talk about product ideas over dinner. SocialBlossom is the one we couldn’t stop thinking about.
How we think about quality
Rajini personally reviews every published social story. Articles on our blog are drafted using AI, then edited and clinically reviewed by Rajini before going live — so what you read is in line with the same approach she uses with kids on her caseload.
We avoid clinical/diagnostic language (“assessment”, “disorder”, “deficit”). We use strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming framing. We ground content in the CASEL 5 social-emotional learning framework and the social-stories tradition (originally developed by Carol Gray, evolved since).
For the full breakdown of how content is created, reviewed, sourced, and updated, read our editorial policy.
